The Crew

During the summer of 2017 we sailed S / Y Romar from Oslo to Illulisat in Western Greenland. Romar left Oslo on May 1st and returned to Bergen in mid September. Romar is a 12 year old French-built sailboat of the brand Harmony 38. A wonderful trip. These were the crew:

Marius Torrissen. Can boarded in Torshavn on the Faroe Islands and returned home to Bergen when we was in Reykjavik on Iceland. He boarded again in Nuuk in Greenland for the sailing up to Illulisat and back to Nuuk. Marius is a skilled photographer and drone-pilot. Pictures from the voyage and otherwise from his outdoor life can be found at Instagram. Marius is my youngest son and was born in 1984.

Skipper Ole Torrissen. He was on board all the time. His role as skipper was constantly challenged by his sons and the ship-dog Mira. He was 67 years old.

Tobias K. Torrissen boarded on the return trip in Torshavn on the Faroe Islands on the return back to Oslo when we arrived Stornoway in the Hebrides. He is the father of my two grandchildren. Tobias is my oldest son and was born in 1974.

Skip-dog Mira (Speldammens V Mira). She was onboard the whole journey. Mira was 5 years old.
